Just about ok.
These trailer cargo boxes do not seem to be a mass product. I found 3 Anbietert (Thule, Westfalia and TowCar). Price-wise, the TowCar is the most attractive, moreover, this was also the only one available at the moment (hello Corona).
The price of 850 francs is relative. Since the price range goes from somehow 700 to 1'200, so extremely similar (other products from x to 20x - what do I know: auto from 10'000 to 200'000, felt pen from 50rp to 15 francs...). I find it rather expensive for a box.
The finish is - sorry my words - not much higher than I expect from a Spanish product: plastic injection molding (I have the feeling), gap mass/fit is just ok, a lot of things rattle, you have to "press" to close the lock, etc.... It is moderate.
The plates covering the holes from the inside fell off at the slightest (!!) touch. The rubber stuck less than a Post-it. Under normal circumstances, a reason to return - but I'm easy there ... I drilled three holes and screwed on the cover. Since it helps if you always have something at home - especially when all hardware stores are closed ;-)
The one base plate can not be lowered completely and thus stands about 1cm high (see picture).
There is no number plate holder.
CONCLUSION: for lack of alternatives I would probably still recommend the thing (because of price). However, you would have to test the others, because possibly there's for (very) little more a much better quality? The design of the TowBox V2 is in any case FAR from excellence.Pro

With a little rework a great product.
The box is in and of itself super. However, the bottom rusts away immediately without self-applied protection.
Pretty good product
Very good product! Easy to mount but you need definitely some kind of strength to do it by yourself. Unfortunately it doesn't fit to vw California where I'm not able to open tailgate with the Box on.
Had to change a few things myself on the box so that the tailgate lid of the car was easier to access.
The box looks nice. The locks are cheaply executed. The tilting of the box is impractical and not finished thought out.
