Presto Glass fibre filler

Presto Glasfaserspachtel is a two-component polyester putty that contains the new adhesion promoter NT. The putty is made from pure, unsaturated polyester resin and glass fiber parts. It is designed for repairing larger damaged areas in industrial and hobby settings that show rust and are exposed to mechanical stress. It can be applied to metal, wood, concrete, and many plastics. Perforations can be bridged and stabilized, and larger irregularities can be filled. It is suitable for the repair of rust penetrations up to a diameter of 12 mm. For pitting areas with a diameter greater than 12 mm, prestolith special polyester resin can be used before application. Sandpaper is recommended for preparing and finishing the filler work.

• Base: Polyester resin with mineral fillers and glass fiber parts.
• Colour: Light grey.
• Odour: Styrene.
• Form: Pasty, soft, thixotropic.
• Pot life/processing time at 20°C: Approximately 4 - 5 minutes.
• Working temperature: From 12°C.
• Drying (at 20°C, 50% relative humidity):
• Sandable after: Approximately 20 - 30 minutes.
• Flash point: Approximately 33°C (spatula); not applicable for hardeners.
• Density at 20°C:
• Filler: 1.46 g/cm³.
• Hardener: 1.15 g/cm³.
• Hardener addition: 2 - 4% (optimum mixture 2.5%).
• Temperature resistance of the cured material: 120°C.
• Shelf life/storage: 24 months with proper storage (10°-25°C, relative humidity max. 60%) in a closed original container. Protect from direct sunlight, frost, and moisture.
• Container: Filling compounds in narrow ring cans; hardener in plastic tubes.
