The humidor features a water reservoir with a wick that allows water to rise into the substrate, preventing it from drying out. This way, the humidity is increased to 70-80 percent, which is 20-40 percent higher than the humidity in a heated room. This is also the optimal humidity for successfully cultivating moisture-loving miniature plants, often originating from rainforests. Thus, the humidor acts like a mini greenhouse. There is an opening at the top of the lid to allow the plants to breathe. The humidor enables even those without a green thumb to successfully grow hydrophilic mini plants.
