Plumbago auriculata, also known as 'Men's Loyalty', is excellent for pots and can also grow outdoors if protected from light frost. This climbing plant blooms for an extended period and produces an abundance of flowers in various shades of blue that develop on the elegantly curved stems. The flowering season extends from late May to September. Plumbago is a fantastic plant for terraces and courtyards and can also create a beautiful effect in rock gardens or borders. It is deciduous and requires some support for climbing. In a pot, it can reach a maximum height of 150 cm, while in the open ground, it can grow up to 3 meters tall, provided there is no severe frost. If necessary, the plant can be heavily pruned starting in October.

Care
Plumbago can thrive in full sun but also does well in partial shade. The plant requires sufficient water. The leaves are very light green; if they turn yellow, this indicates that the plant needs more water and/or nutrients. Plumbago is not very frost-resistant and should be brought indoors when frost threatens. It can withstand temperatures as low as -8 to -10 degrees Celsius. Starting in October, the plant can be heavily pruned.
