Product details
The olive tree, officially Olea Europaea, is the oldest known cultivated tree in history. With their silvery foliage, gnarled trunks and white, fragrant flower clusters in spring, these characteristic trees are a beautiful eye-catcher in the garden at any time of year. The olive tree is a beautiful evergreen tree that brings a Mediterranean touch to your garden or balcony. Olive trees are very hardy and are therefore also suitable for colder climates. And of course the tree also produces real olives!
Care
Olive trees are ideal for any garden. They can be planted in containers and placed on the patio, but they can also be planted in the ground. Olive trees prefer a sunny spot and do not like wet feet. If you keep the tree in a pot, always make sure that the pot has holes at the bottom. Water the olea regularly in spring and summer. Pruning is not necessary for the time being, but is best done in early spring or autumn (around October). Before olive cultivation, the olea blooms in spring with small creamy white and yellow flowers. After flowering, the green fruits (or drupes) grow. The olives can be harvested while they are still green or after they are fully ripe in late autumn, depending on how you want to use them.
