Product details

Fargesia Asian Wonder is the only red bamboo in the world. This Fargesia is a truly exclusive bamboo species that is rarely found in the trade. The red colour appears after 2/3 years. The stems turn red when exposed to direct sunlight, i.e. the more sunlight, the redder the stems. The stems can reach a diameter of 2 cm after a few years. In addition to the red stems, Fargesia also has beautiful light green leaves. This Fargesia grows as a compact shrub with many closely spaced stems and can reach a height of 3 to 4 metres. The stems grow straight upwards and hang down a little at the top. Apart from the fact that this species does not sprawl, it is also hardy down to -18 degrees Celsius!

Care
Fargesia Asian wonder is evergreen, hardy and non-invasive. The bamboo prefers a spot in the sun or partial shade. In summer and on warm days, you should water the Fargesia regularly. It is also recommended to plant the bamboo with a planting distance of 40-60 cm if the plants are placed in open ground.
