The four-flute carbide finishing end mill made of tungsten carbide-cobalt with an AlTiN coating features a center-ground cutting edge for direct plunging into the workpiece, eliminating the need for pre-drilling.

The advantages and characteristics of the aluminum-titanium-nitride coating (AlTiN coating): It is a versatile coating suitable for universal use. The AlTiN coating allows for machining hard materials such as steel or stainless steel, as well as materials like brass, bronze, or plastic. Another advantage over uncoated tools or tools with a TiN coating is that the use of cutting fluid is not strictly necessary. However, using coolant generally increases the tool life of the end mill.
