The D-fuse system is a first-generation screw fuse system that is still widely used in installations. It is applied in low-voltage systems where the fuse inserts are accessible to laypersons and can be replaced by them. The D-fuse range includes sizes NDZ, DII, DIII, DIV, and DV. D-fuse inserts are used to protect lines and installations. They safely disconnect excessive overcurrents and short-circuit currents up to the rated disconnection current. D-fuse inserts of the operating class gG also protect electrical devices and installations from the electrodynamic effects of high short-circuit currents.
