The D-fuse system is a first-generation screw fuse system. It is still widely used in installations. The D-fuse system is applied in low-voltage installations where the fuse inserts are accessible to laypersons and can be replaced by them. The D-fuse range includes sizes NDZ, DII, DIII, DIV, and DV. D-fuse inserts are used to protect lines and installations. They safely disconnect unacceptable overloads and short-circuit currents up to the rated disconnection current.
