Loctite Thread Sealant 542 is a highly effective sealing compound specifically designed for sealing metal threads. This product replaces traditional sealing methods such as hemp, sealing tapes, and pastes, providing a reliable solution for a wide range of applications. The sealant cures in the absence of air between tight metal surfaces, ensuring 100% sealing. It is resistant to a variety of chemicals, including gasoline, oil, and hydraulic fluids, making it ideal for use in hydraulic and pneumatic systems as well as for small screw connections. Thanks to its thixotropic properties, the sealant stays in place after application, allowing for easy handling. The thread sealant is particularly useful in preventing connections from loosening on their own, even under shocks and vibrations. Before application, the threaded surface should be cleaned with a universal cleaner to achieve optimal results.
