Watcon Minus is also suitable for filter backwashing. Dirt particles, residues from sunscreen, hair, etc., adhere strongly to the filter and are not completely removed even with a sufficiently sized filter. Adding Watcon Minus during backwashing helps to dissolve these residues. Therefore, the principle is: clean filters = lower chlorine consumption. Labulit Watcon Minus is an easy-to-handle acid granulate designed to reduce a high (too alkaline) pH level. The granulate is instantly soluble and can be sprinkled directly onto the water surface.

Dosing swimming pool: - After filling the pool, always first reduce the alkali content to 100 ppm with 32% hydrochloric acid. - During the bathing season, if the pH value rises above 7.4: - per 0.1 pH unit = 75 g WATCON MINUS per 10,000 litres - First dissolve the calculated amount of WATCON MINUS in a bucket of water! Then along the slowly into the water along the edge of the pool while the circulation is running. Alternatively: Simply pour the granulate granules onto the water surface while the circulation is running. - Measure the pH value after 12 hours and if it is still too high, repeat the dosage as above - Hard water needs more, soft water less WATCON MINUS - Calculation example based on an alkalinity of 100 ppm: - Measured pH value = 8.0, target value = 7.2 - Correction by 0.8 pH units = 8 x 75 g = 600 g/10,000 litres Whirlpool dosage: - If the pH value is above 7.4, reduce to the ideal value of 7.2 with WATCON MINUS: - Approx. 20 g WATCON MINUS for 1,000 litres, sprinkle directly into the water. - If necessary, add more until the pH value of 7.2 is reached.
