The Intex 28624 ZX500R Auto Pool Cleaner is an automatic cleaning system for above-ground swimming pools that allows for efficient maintenance without manual intervention. It operates with a 24V low-voltage system for enhanced safety and consumes 45W of power during normal operation. The device utilizes two suction openings and a filtration system with a fine filter bag that can capture dirt particles up to 2 mm in size, including leaves, sand, and insects. Its programmed cleaning pattern systematically covers the entire pool floor, with a cleaning cycle duration of about 90 minutes for pools up to 8 meters in diameter. The unit features a 7.5-meter long power cable with waterproof connections and automatic shut-off after the cycle ends or when obstacles are detected. The durable ABS plastic housing and corrosion-resistant components ensure reliable performance in chlorinated water. The cleaner operates effectively at water temperatures between 15°C and 35°C and has a dirt indicator that signals when the collection bag needs to be emptied. Installation requires no tools or permanent modifications, just connection to a standard outlet via the included transformer. This model is the successor to previous Intex automatic cleaners, featuring improved navigation algorithms and more efficient dirt collection. Regular maintenance includes rinsing the filter bag after each use and occasional checking of the moving parts. The product is designed for private above-ground pools with smooth vinyl or fiberglass surfaces and is not recommended for in-ground pools or surfaces with sharp edges or rough textures.
