While pool pumps remove dirt from the water and prevent algae growth, debris settles at the bottom. To eliminate this, you should use the Mauk brush attachment. Its lightweight design allows it to stay on the bottom, and it can be easily connected using a telescopic pole. The four wheels on the underside make it effortless to move around. Thanks to the built-in suspension on the bottom of the brush, it can also dislodge dirt in uneven areas of the pool. Since the dirt needs to be removed rather than just stirred up, there is also the option to attach a pool vacuum to the brush attachment via the 1 1/4 or 1 1/2 inch hose connection to suction away the dirty water.
