Forest axe is a beautiful hybrid axe with many uses. Åby has a straight, ground edge and a finger notch under the head for increased precision. The long and thin ergonomic handle minimizes weight, and generates extra power when striking. This axe is perfect for building cabins, processing firewood, and carving, as well as precision work. In short, it is the perfect forest companion. Like all axes, the Aby forest axe is hand-forged and made of quality Swedish steel. As part of the head forging process, the steel axe head is beaten 40-60 times to increase density and thus durability. Aby is named after the nearest village of Hults Bruk, where in the middle of the 20th century still lived many workers in the forge.
