Hard water contains dissolved minerals, including calcium and magnesium compounds. Calcium and magnesium ions cause limescale deposits that can damage your appliances and utensils. Water softening removes the calcium and magnesium compounds responsible for water hardness. As water passes through the resin column, calcium and magnesium ions are absorbed by the resin particles. When the ion exchange capacity of the resin diminishes, it should be regenerated using a salt solution. Water softeners can be installed anywhere the water temperature is below 45 °C and the water pressure does not exceed 2 Bar. Only use non-iodized salt for regeneration. Suitable for drinking water only. Ideal for softening water for coffee machines, combi steamers, dishwashers, and ice makers. Due to its compact size, this device is perfect for bars and restaurants.
