Hammerite Metal protective lacquer hammer blow

Rust protection paint for all uncoated, rusted, or previously painted ferrous metals and non-ferrous metals after appropriate pre-treatment. Suitable for items such as garden fences, garden furniture, stair and balcony railings, window grilles, lamps, bicycles, and trellises.

Hammerite paints are generally not suitable for painting motor vehicles, tempered surfaces (such as grill pipes, oven pipes, brake calipers, engines, exhaust systems), surfaces exposed to high mechanical stress (such as floors, lifts, vehicle undercarriages), powder-coated objects, or components with permanent underwater contact (such as pool ladders, in boat areas, dish racks for dishwashers, aquariums).

Preparation:
Uncoated ferrous metals: Sand down very smooth surfaces, remove sanding dust, and carefully clean the surface with Hammerite Metal Cleaner.

Rusted ferrous metals: Remove loose particles with a wire brush and clean the surface with Hammerite Metal Cleaner.

Cast iron: Remove loose particles, sand down, and clean with Hammerite Metal Cleaner. Apply a layer of Hammerite Rust Blocker as a primer.

Tip: The hammer effect is best achieved when the paint is applied quickly and not too thinly, allowing time for the effect to develop. Repeated touch-ups or spreading of the paint may result in a less pronounced hammer effect. Hammered paints can only be reworked with other hammered paints; using different systems may lead to adhesion or surface defects.
