Hammerite Metal protective lacquer hammer blow

Rust protection coating for all uncoated, rusted, or previously painted ferrous and non-ferrous metals after appropriate pre-treatment. Suitable for items such as garden fences, garden furniture, stair and balcony railings, window grilles, lamps, bicycles, trellises, and more.

Hammerite paints are generally not suitable for painting motor vehicles, heated surfaces (such as grill pipes, oven pipes, brake calipers, engines, exhaust systems), surfaces that are subject to heavy mechanical stress (such as floors, lifts, underbodies of cars), powder-coated objects, or components with permanent underwater contact (such as pool ladders, boat installations, dish racks for dishwashers, aquariums).

Preparation:
For uncoated ferrous metals: Sand very smooth surfaces, remove sanding dust, and carefully clean the surface with Hammerite Metal Cleaner.

For rusted ferrous metals: Remove loose particles with a wire brush and clean the surface with Hammerite Metal Cleaner.

For cast iron: Remove loose particles, sand, and clean with Hammerite Metal Cleaner. Apply a layer of Hammerite Rust Blocker as a bonding agent.

Tip: The hammer effect develops best when the paint is applied quickly and not too thinly, allowing time for the effect to develop. Repeated touch-ups or spreading of the paint may result in a diminished hammer effect. Hammer effect paints can only be retouched with other hammer effect paints; using different systems may lead to adhesion or surface defects.
