Gränsfors Mini Hatchet 26cm Hand Forged With Scabbard

The mini axe is, at just 300 grams, the lightest and most handy axe from Gränsfors Bruk. It is not only suitable for limbing and splitting firewood, but with its slightly rounded neck, it is also effective for killing fish. The axe and knife smith Lennart Pettersson developed this axe to create an exceptionally lightweight tool that can compete with the larger ones. The shape of the blade guard is designed to cover the edge and the upper part of the neck. When you transport the axe on your backpack, it prevents the axe head from cutting into the backpack. An axe is only as good as its smith – all axes made by Gränsfors Bruk are hand-forged. The steel used comes from Ovako, which is sourced exclusively from recycled scrap metal. The steel has been specially developed for creating the perfect axe head. It is neither too hard, nor too soft, nor too flexible.
