Gränsfors Forest hatchet

With its long handle, the Gränsfors forest axe allows for excellent power transfer. So effective that you can even fell trees with this axe. Yet, it is compact enough to fit into a backpack. The shape of the blade guard is designed to cover the edge and the upper part of the neck. When you transport the axe on your backpack, it prevents the axe head from cutting into the backpack. An axe is only as good as its blacksmith - all axes made by Gränsfors Bruk are hand-forged. The steel used comes from Ovako and is made exclusively from recycled scrap metal. The steel has been specially developed for creating the perfect axe head. It is neither too hard, nor too soft, nor too flexible.
