Gränsfors Carving Axe 37cm Hand Forged With Scabbard

The large carving axe from Gränsfors was developed in collaboration with two master craftsmen. The purpose of this axe is wood processing and shaping, which is made easy by the contoured handle. The axe features a long double-edged blade. The design of the blade guard is such that it covers the edge and the upper part of the neck. When you transport the axe on your backpack, it prevents the axe head from cutting into the backpack. An axe is only as good as its blacksmith - all axes made by Gränsfors Bruk are hand-forged. The steel used comes from Ovako and is sourced exclusively from recycled scrap metal. The steel has been specially developed for creating the perfect axe head. It is neither too hard, nor too soft, nor too flexible.
