Terralite vessels are made from a clay mixture that is reinforced with a synthetic fiber mesh. An authentic appearance, while maintaining the natural aging process, characterizes Terralite. A significant advantage of Terralite is its considerably lighter weight compared to a conventional clay pot. Terralite vessels are primarily made of clay, and as with a traditional clay pot, white efflorescence may occur. This effect leads to a natural patina. Terralite vessels are frost-resistant. During the transitional periods in autumn and spring, frost is not a problem for the vessel. For longer frost periods in winter, it is recommended to place the vessel in a weather-protected location (e.g., against a house wall) to protect the plant and the vessel. It is essential to elevate the pot at least 1 centimeter off the ground using plant pot feet or wooden blocks to prevent it from freezing to the ground. Be sure to ensure proper water drainage and avoid overwatering. This will help prevent ice formation and protect both the plant and the vessel from damage.
