Coltogum Standard

Coltogum Standard is a versatile sealing compound that is ideally suited for sealing expansion joints in construction, joints in facade cladding, frame connections of wooden, metal, and plastic windows, window sills, and doors. It is also perfect for joints in metal and apparatus construction, in insulation, and in climate control applications, as well as for sealing single and insulating glass (including laminated safety glass) in wooden and metal frames. It is not suitable for natural stone, aquariums, or mirror bonding.

Application:
Apply only on clean, grease-free, and dry surfaces. For absorbent surfaces, use Coltogum Primer 1. For plastic surfaces, use Coltogum Primer 2. Depending on the quality of the plastic, additional tests may be required. If a primer is used, the drying time must be observed.

Consumption/Dosage:
The material consumption depends on the dimensions of the joint.

• For joints under 10 mm: the ratio of joint width to joint depth is approximately 1:1 (a minimum cross-section of 4x5 mm must be maintained).
• For joints over 10 mm: the ratio of joint width to joint depth is approximately 2:1.

Calculation formula: Joint width (mm) x Joint depth (mm) = approximately ml/lm.
