Execution: High-strength, free-running HeliCoil®plus thread inserts made of stainless steel with high wear resistance, low thread friction within tight tolerances, high surface quality, as well as corrosion and heat resistance. The flexible design allows for even load and stress distribution, creating durable screw connections of the highest quality for all operational loads (static, dynamic) with ideal force transmission. Simple, quick assembly results in a gage-holding, double-sided usable internal thread. Complete repair set for one metric thread size in a plastic case. Note: TiCN coated HSS-E-PM machine taps see No. 133550 and No. 138200. Suitable limit gages for thread inspection see No. 486000ff. Self-locking inserts, other dimensions, and UNC/UNF thread inserts are available upon request. Delivery includes: 1 HSS hand tap, 1 installation spindle, 1 plastic case L×W×H 180×165×45 mm (up to size M8) or 245×225×50 mm (from size M10). Each contains 20 (up to size M6) or 10 (from size M8) free-running thread inserts made of stainless steel in each length (1×D / 1.5×D / 2×D). Use: For economical repair of damaged or worn threads and as a construction element for thread reinforcement when using materials with low shear strength (e.g., aluminum, aluminum-magnesium alloys).
