What exactly is an aviary fence? The aviary wire is usually made of closely spaced hot-dip galvanized steel wires. During manufacturing, the wire is firmly welded at the contact points, which is why the wire is referred to as a spot-welded mesh. Zinc oxidizes relatively easily, so any scratch on the surface leads to the formation of another zinc oxide layer long before moisture can even approach the steel core. This process makes our aviary wire particularly resistant to weather influences.
