Air-Pot 1L by Superroots.

Ideal for small plants or as a seedling pot for later repotting into Air-Pots or Root Pouches.

The side walls feature holes at the tips of outward-facing cones, allowing air to penetrate the root ball.

The inward-facing cones of the side wall direct the roots towards the outward-facing cones with the air holes.

There, the moisture content decreases while the oxygen content in the substrate increases, causing the cells at the root tip to dry out and effectively be pruned by air.

The plant's compensatory response to this air-induced root pruning is enhanced root growth. The root tip branches out, resulting in a dense and fibrous root system in a very short time.

This promotes a firm, radial root ball. As a result, the plant can absorb a larger share of nutrients.

Another advantage is that the higher air content in the root area discourages pests from settling or feeling comfortable. It also helps prevent mold formation.

The porosity of the Air-Pot creates better conditions for bacterial activity and increases the availability of nutrient salts for the plant.

With this high number of roots extending to the stem, the root system is very efficient in absorbing all available water and provided nutrient salts.

Vital, strong, and healthy plants are therefore guaranteed. Due to the new and enhanced soil structure, this Air-Pot is ideal for indoor cultivation and can be used with any substrate.
