Chop saw + mitre saw

I wanted to enquire whether anyone knows whether the LS1219L chop saw from Makita is supplied with a Swiss plug or a Euro plug (Schuko)? Is the LS1219L supplied by Galaxus eligible for the Makita CH extended 3 year warranty after registration after purchase? I would be interested to know if this can be B-goods or returns or if such can be excluded? The official list price 2023 from Makita CH is CHF 1432.- incl. VAT, Galaxus currently charges around CHF 750.-. Are these clearance prices due to an upcoming successor product, or why are such generous discounts being granted, which is of course great? I have also noticed this with other online retailers.

This brand offers many models, and depending on what you want, you can find your way around by comparing the specifications. In my opinion, however, one piece of information is missing: which model can be used to cut aluminium profiles? This type of saw is primarily intended for wood, as it is lighter and less rigid than a hacksaw, and Makita remains discreet about aluminium. Only the Makita France website mentions the appropriate use of aluminium blades for the LS1040 model. This is the classic model without translation (no parallel tubes, only a pivot axis to lower and raise the blade). This model is more rigid and vibrates less, which is certainly why it can be used for sawing aluminium. However, users of tube saws and sliding table saws are satisfied with the LS1219L, which has the largest wood-cutting capacity (in terms of dimensions), and a 305 mm dia. blade, when sawing non-full profiles. Have any users had experience with the LS1018LN (also available from Galaxus)? This model could be just as suitable in terms of motor power / blade ø, and even better with 4'300 RPM against 3'200 for LS1219L. But above all, it has tubes that are symmetrical to the tilt axis, which gives more rigidity than the long LS1219L tubes placed "at an angle". Who would have experience of cutting aluminium with either of the models I mention? Or would have an opinion even for wood cutting: LS1018LN better in strength and precision than LS1219L? My comment may seem long, but I think these are useful questions that other people are asking to help them choose from the many Makita models.
