The inflator must be charged before use, it is not designed to inflate directly with the 220-240V power cord connected. It is recommended that the unit be charged for the first time for 10 hours or overnight with the AC adapter plugged into a household outlet providing 220-240V AC power. If necessary, the initial charging of the inflator can be done with the 12 V DC power cord by plugging it into a car cigarette lighter. After the initial charge, the inflator can be used to inflate or deflate (without the power cords). Then recharge it either with the 220-240 V power cord or with the 12 V power cord (about 1 hour).
