Question about Indiana Family Pack
According to the pump, I have inflated the board to approx. 8 PSI (i.e. at the beginning of the yellow range). The thing is already as hard as a board. I'm afraid it will burst if I pump it up to the recommended 15 PSI. What do you think?

That's exactly what I thought at the beginning. But you can pump up to 15 PSI without any problems.
I stayed a little below that with 14 PSI. What certainly makes sense is to release a little pressure if it is left out in the dry and in the blazing sun for a longer period of time.... So far it has always worked perfectly.
