Optimal Vibration Damping

The Bullflex coupling is VETUS's response to the growing demand for increased driving comfort. It has been specifically designed for optimal vibration damping. Torsional vibrations that occur during load changes or as a result of an unevenly running engine (especially at low RPMs) are efficiently dampened thanks to the super-elastic rubber element. This pre-tensioned rubber element ensures a play-free (silent) and vibration-damping connection between the engine and the propeller shaft. With the help of the overload protections (axial and radial), this connection is optimally maintained.

Specifications:

• Models 1, 2, and 4 have a 4” connection
• Models 8, 12, and 16 feature both 4 and 5” connections
• Model 32 has 6 M16 threaded holes on a pitch circle diameter of Ø 120.65 mm / 4.7” for mounting the couplings to most gearboxes (Hurth, Velvet, TD, ZF, and P.R.M.)
• VETUS also supplies the necessary fasteners for attaching the Bullflex to the gearbox.

This coupling is not suitable for V-drives.
