Product details
The Drago is rightly a classic among Scarpa's Softline models. It is a relatively soft climbing shoe that excels at friction climbing on volumes while also providing some support for standing on small footholds. This makes the Drago the top choice for ambitious bouldering and climbing enthusiasts who want to be versatile on both rock and artificial surfaces.
The asymmetrical, highly downturned high-end model features a high toe box and is made from a microfiber upper, with leather used in the toe area. It is constructed from seven pieces that are sewn together in a way that perfectly conforms to the foot—without causing pressure points. The midfoot receives some support from the PCB-Tension system while still allowing freedom of movement.
The Drago's midsole is equipped with a Flexan insert in the big toe area, which relieves the foot when standing confidently on small footholds and edges. The only 2 mm thick rubber layer at the heel and the M5 rubber on the toe cap allow for precise heel and toe hook placements. The grippy and flexible Vibram® XS Grip2 sole rubber ensures perfect friction standing on volumes. This dragon not only hisses but truly breathes fire!.
