Ortles HMS C.3 S Carabiner
Strong carabiner with twistlock. The Ortles HMS C.3 S carabiner made of aluminum is a compact, pear-shaped HMS carabiner featuring an innovative locking system. Thanks to the self-locking snapper with dual function, you can switch between two modes depending on the situation. This locking system offers both the quick and easy handling of a classic HMS carabiner and the safety and protection of a category three locking carabiner when you need it.
Easy handling: In situations where higher safety is required, you can quickly and easily switch from the standard lock to the pull-twist safelock system. The visually marked locking indicator is also clearly visible, adding an extra layer of safety.
At the same time, we designed the carabiner to allow the snapper to open very wide: This enables ideal rope and knot management and ultimately saves valuable time in alpine terrain. The tapered keylock nose prevents snagging on ropes or slings. The design has also been further refined by removing unnecessary material while maintaining a wider contact area for the rope. This construction facilitates the rope's passage during belaying while also protecting your gear.
