The North-X ice axe is the perfect ice tool for classic north face routes and is thus suitable for all applications in technical mountaineering, from steep snowfields to climbing in mixed or icy terrain, as well as glacier crossings. What sets the North-X ice tool apart is its unique grip design: the one-handed, tool-free adjustable handrest can be infinitely adjusted in height, locking under pressure to provide maximum support when climbing in ice or rock walls. When gripping the axe at the head and plunging it into a steep snowfield, the handrest slides upward, allowing the climber to gain height in a particularly time- and energy-efficient manner. The hot-forged, aggressive interchangeable pick and the 20° bent shaft ensure balanced swing behavior and allow for secure and efficient placement in any ice and rock. The grip zone made of insulated plastic effectively protects against cold, especially on long tours. Thanks to the integrated belay loop with a tensile strength of 5 kN, the North-X is also perfect for building belays.
