Reliable Protection The Alp Trainer 2 is a progressive hiking shoe with a mid-height shaft, made from robust, high-quality suede and stretch upper material, and features a waterproof, breathable GORE-TEX Extended Comfort lining that reliably protects you on various terrains and in changing conditions. A generous rubber rand provides additional protection against rock edges and debris. Adaptable and Comfortable The shoe offers a precise fit, securely enveloping your foot, providing support, and is comfortable right from the first wear. Our proprietary, patented 3F System includes a steel cable that ensures firm ankle support and lateral stability, while the Flex Collar allows for more rearward movement of the ankle, enhancing comfort during descents. Additionally, with the customizable SALEWA Multi Fit Footbed Plus (MFF+), you can choose between different insoles to adjust the shoe volume to your needs. The climbing shoe lacing system also allows for individual tightening all the way to the toes – for better performance on technical terrain. Improved Grip and Traction The optimized Vibram Alpine Hiking outsole, exclusive to SALEWA, enhances performance and control on a wide variety of mountain terrains. With its specialized climbing, grip, and braking zones, along with an aggressive lug design, it performs well even in wet and muddy conditions.
