The Alp Trainer 2 is a progressive hiking shoe with a mid-cut shaft, made from robust, high-quality suede and stretch upper material, and features a waterproof, breathable GORE-TEX Extended Comfort lining that reliably protects you on various terrains and in changing conditions. A generous rubber rand provides additional protection against rock edges and debris.

Adaptable and Comfortable
The shoe offers a precise fit that securely wraps around your foot, providing support and comfort right from the first wear. Our proprietary, patented 3F System includes a steel cable that ensures firm ankle support and lateral stability, while the Flex Collar allows more rearward movement for the ankle, enhancing comfort during descents. Additionally, with the customizable SALEWA Multi Fit Footbed Plus (MFF+), you can choose between different insoles to adjust the shoe volume to your needs. The climbing shoe lacing system also allows for individual tightening down to the toes for improved performance on technical terrain.

Enhanced Grip and Traction
The optimized Vibram Alpine Hiking outsole, available exclusively from SALEWA, improves performance and control on a wide range of mountain terrains. Its specialized climbing, grip, and braking zones, along with the aggressive lug design, excel even in wet and muddy conditions.
