The Ray Rodriguez Skull & Sword Deck marks the first milestone in the history of Powell-Peralta's pro models. The graphic was designed by Ray Rodriguez in 1979 and brought to life by Vernon Courtlandt Johnson under the artistic direction of George Powell. This reissue is precisely based on the original specifications from the 1980s, combining historical design with modern manufacturing quality. The construction of seven layers of North American maple guarantees maximum stability and reliably protects against delamination. The deck features the characteristic SP3 concave and the classic shape 166. The graphic on the underside is printed on a glossy film, while the top showcases a colored veneer and a hand-printed logo. The solid construction without wheel wells provides a continuous structure for optimal control and durability.
