Pakboats has reintroduced the Quest theme this season, presenting a kayak that has been perfected in many detail solutions. With the new Quest 150, Pakboats has achieved a real coup: the combination of a rigid construction with a simple and quick setup. This is paired with good handling characteristics and a weight typical of Pakboats: just 14.1 kg at a length of 455 cm! This is achieved through the lightweight and extremely robust PU skin material. The frame is reduced to a necessary minimum and features a simple yet efficient tensioning mechanism. The PU-coated deck is included and allows for the stable attachment of a spray skirt. However, the Quest 150 can also be paddled open, without a deck, as the seating structure is installed completely independently. In addition to the advantage of easy loading, the Quest provides an almost sit-on-top feeling during open paddling, although it will mostly be used in its closed form as a touring kayak. Unlike the Puffins, the Quest is significantly more geared towards touring paddling, has a sportier boat shape, and is delivered as standard with the deck. The Quest occupies a space between the leisure-oriented Puffins and professional touring kayaks, offering an unbeatable small pack size in sports bag format, lightweight and quick setup, as well as a very light weight. The Quest 150 is the ideal always-ready boat for the more ambitious paddler.
