Introducing the Nidecker Supermatic, the long-awaited first universal double-entry automatic binding for snowboards. Many brands have tried and failed. Most of these systems required specific boots, many didn't work well in powder, and none were as comfortable and reliable as a traditional dual-band binding. We've spent four years working on our own solution that solves all these problems, and it's a real game-changer.
The Supermatic uses our patented Drop-In Tech. Simply slide your foot in from behind and press the heel pedal to automatically activate the binding. That's it - you're ready to ride. A simple release lever makes getting out just as quick. The straps have the same comfortable AuxTech design as our high-quality traditional bindings. Adjust them once, then lock them in place with the aluminum buckles for a perfect fit every time.
The beauty of this system is that it works with any boot from any manufacturer, and there are no complicated mechanics to get stuck. If the slope or snow conditions call for it, you can even strap it on like a normal binding. We built the Supermatic from proven materials found throughout our range. The brand new baseplate is made from glass reinforced nylon, with a Slip-N-Grip plate to help your toes slide onto the pad for easy entry. Similarly, we've added a roll at the heel to make getting into the boot even easier. Finally, the Asym Hadron nylon spoiler is designed for a perfect fit, with a responsive flex and an integrated template adjuster for full adjustment.
Overall, this is a medium stiff binding that the Nidecker team has called the most comfortable yet. We've tested it everywhere - on groomed runs, steep powder lines, and in the park - with input from riders of all types. Bottom line: this is a quick entry system you can trust. Whether you're tired of getting a wet butt from your straps or want to knock your ski buddies off the lift, the future is here.
