The design mimics the shape of the human foot, allowing it to maintain its natural barefoot position even when wearing shoes. The upper is made of waterproof pig suede, with lightweight and durable ripstop material, a traditional lace-up closure, a padded collar, 100% recycled breathable mesh lining, a footbed cover made from 100% recycled mesh, treated with Cleansport NXT for natural odor control, and an integrated EVA foam insole. The Merrell Barefoot 2 construction ensures the foot remains in a natural position, with a softer and lighter inner EVA construction, and a mountain-ready Merrell Quantum Grip rubber outsole.
