HMS Carabiner against unwanted cross-loading

The Smart HMS 2.0 carabiner from Mammut prevents accidental twisting and thus cross-loading during belaying, thanks to its Safety Gate. This not only enhances safety but also provides a certain level of relaxation while belaying. The carabiner features a screw lock, which allows the Safety Gate to function only when the carabiner is closed. Weighing in at just 93 g, the Smart HMS 2.0 carabiner is lightweight while also boasting a high longitudinal breaking strength of 28 kN.
