The Evo 36 is a classic example of a downhill board, and the concept has proven itself to this day. It is excellent for long rides and features a stiff construction for better downhill performance. The lowered platform and directional wedging of the truck mounting areas provide super stable handling. The front-heavy steering makes it very easy to predict what the board will do next in the turns. The 36 offers more grip in corners and a much more agile, responsive ride than the 40. The tighter packaging and additional grip better meet the demanding requirements of modern DH racing, without compromising the championship-winning DNA or legendary stability. The Evo has been a cornerstone of the Landyachtz DH line for nearly two decades and has been ridden by world champions, countless race winners, and podium contenders. The Evo 36 is the more compact of our two Evo shapes. It measures 36 inches long and 9.5 inches wide and is pressed from 9 layers of high-quality Canadian maple wood. The Evo comes with 40-degree, 155 mm Gen 6 reverse kingpin trucks. The narrow 155 mm hanger provides a defined hookup during drifts and more control over your steering. This year, we equipped the Evo with 72 mm, 78a Plow Kings, which are stone-ground to give you a secure slide right out of the box.
