In the Theory by La Sportiva, there are indeed many thoughts behind it: The shoe was designed by studying the grip behavior of gorillas and the sensitivity of cat paws. Developed for indoor climbers, the shoe is made of microfiber and suede leather, featuring a lot of grippy Vibram sole that envelops the shoe to allow for dynamic foot placements. The slipper also comes with a Velcro strap to regulate tension and enable precise hooking.
