This very compact 4-piece paddle is suitable for both beginners in touring kayaking and novices in packrafting. The terms lower hand, horizontal, or low-angle have the same meaning. If your paddle is narrow and long, it is better suited for longer kayaking trips than for powerful paddling. This horizontal gesture is energy-efficient and allows for less tiring paddling.

The terms upper hand, vertical, or high-angle refer to a wide and short paddle that is more suitable for whitewater and competitions. This vertical gesture is more strenuous and consumes more energy. Attach the paddle blades to the shafts using the pushpins and then connect the shafts together.
