Harken 75mm Carbo Ratsch block, H2672

Carbo Ratchets allow sailors to hold a sheet under load by hand, providing the right balance of holding power and controlled easing. The nylon resin cheeks are reinforced with densely layered long fiberglass to create a compact block with a high load-to-weight ratio. The machined discs are hard lube anodized for strength and corrosion resistance. The eight chamfers securely hold the sheet in place. The free-running ball bearing, disc, and cheeks are blackened for maximum protection.

These switchable ratchets can be precisely turned on and off with easily accessible and operable switches on both sides of the block. For an optimal system, install a switchable ratchet in the cockpit and directly above it a Ratchamatic® on the boom, providing double holding power in strong winds and a free-running sheet in light winds. The 75 mm version has a holding power of up to 15:1, while the 57 mm version has up to 10:1.
