The Carbo Ratchamatic® is a load-controlled ratchet block that runs freely in both directions under light load. As the load increases, the ratchet engages automatically. The switch from ratchet to free-running mode occurs smoothly and seamlessly. Unloaded sheets shoot out like a greased lightning when rounding. Asymmetric spinnakers require the holding power of a ratchet but run free immediately, allowing for the perfect, effortless gybe. With a simple turn of the hex key, you can adjust the engagement of the ratchet, whether for greater or lesser loads, according to your strength or sailing style. The horizontal Ratchamatic® block can be mounted on either the starboard or port side. The holding power of the 57 mm disc is up to 10:1, while the 75 mm disc can achieve up to 15:1. The optimal mainsheet system consists of a switchable ratchet in the cockpit and a Ratchamatic® above on the boom, providing double holding power in strong winds and free running in light winds. The 2634, together with the swivel arm 402 or 403, creates a versatile mainsheet system with two speeds. Usage: Mainsail/jib sheet, asymmetric spinnaker.
