Hanwag exclusively uses yak leather from ecological herding in Mongolia. The raw material is refined by the leather factory Josef Heinen in Germany. The complete leather meets the "Gold Standard" of the Leather Working Group, a multi-stakeholder initiative that sets the standards for sustainable, responsible, and transparent leather production. Due to the use of this exclusive material, the Travi Low SF Extra is not only exceptionally shape-stable but also particularly comfortable. The water vapor-permeable and natural leather creates a good climate that allows the foot to "breathe" even during sweaty activities. Additionally, the leather lining adapts better to the foot's contour, optimizing the fit of the shoe. The model features the Straightfit Extra last and a customized sole unit, providing the perfect fit for a wide forefoot and the desire for space for the big toe. The grippy Hanwag Endurance Hike outsole, made with 10% recycled rubber, ensures the necessary grip.
