Hanwag only uses yak leather from ecological herd farming in Mongolia. The raw material is finished by the Josef Heinen leather factory in Germany. All leather complies with the "Gold Standard" of the Leather Working Group, a multi-stakeholder initiative that sets the standards for sustainable, responsible and transparent leather production. Thanks to the use of this exclusive material, the Travi Low SF Extra is not only exceptionally dimensionally stable, but also particularly comfortable. This is because the water vapour permeable and natural leather creates a good climate that allows the foot to "breathe" even during sweaty actions. Since the leather lining also adapts better to the contours of the foot, the fit in the shoe is also optimised. The model with the Straightfit Extra last and the adapted sole unit offers the perfect fit for a wide forefoot and the desire for space for the big toe. The grippy Hanwag `Endurance Hike` outsole with 10% recycled rubber provides the necessary grip.
