The Akron Mid GTX by Garmont is a versatile hiking shoe with a mid-high shaft that offers reliable support and comfort during demanding day hikes, light mountain treks, and via ferrata routes. The upper is made of durable suede leather, complemented by protective RPU reinforcements. Inside, the PFC-free GORE-TEX® Extended Comfort membrane provides breathable moisture protection, making it ideal for dynamic tours in changeable weather. The Ortholite® Ultra™ insole offers long-lasting cushioning comfort, while a semi-stiff polypropylene insert in the sole construction provides the necessary stability. Additional shock absorption is provided by the EVA midsole. Particularly impressive is the grippy MICHELIN® Off Road outsole with OCX3 and OC1 rubber compounds, which, thanks to its Fiberlite technology, offers excellent grip on rock, roots, and wet surfaces. With Heel Lock™, LaceLock, and the ergonomic a.d.d.® system, the Akron Mid GTX adapts perfectly to your foot, preventing pressure points and blisters for a completely secure and comfortable walking experience.
