Perfect navigation on the water as well as on land with the GPSMAP 620, the new Garmin navigation allrounder. This fully-fledged marine chart plotter can also guide you on the road, provided a City Navigator road map is inserted. To guide you safely to your destination, the GPSMAP 620 is equipped with a high-sensitivity GPS receiver.

With its 5.2 inch (13.2 cm) color touchscreen display that's easy to read even in direct sunlight and its simple and convenient operation, it has everything you need for safe navigation. It features a marine mode and auto mode, a shock-resistant waterproof case (IPX7 standard) and rechargeable battery, so it can take you anywhere, even as a portable GPS on your next trek (with optional topographic maps). As soon as the GPSMAP 620 is inserted into its naval mount, it immediately displays naval data. And when used in the vehicle, it automatically switches to auto mode if a City Navigator road map is inserted.

On the water:
The GPSMAP 620 can work with the Garmin BlueChart g2 Vision nautical charts. It can show this map in 3D perspective and as a 3D underwater view. It is even able to create a route proposal using its "Auto-Guidance" function which takes into account obstacles, shallows, tides, draught and height of the yacht.

The BlueChart g2 Vision nautical chart also gives access to tidal information and currents, the nearest marine service points, many points of interest, coastal roads and aerial photographs. The GPSMAP 620 is also compatible with maps of Swiss lakes on CD or microSD memory cards.

Ashore:
In auto mode, the GPSMAP 620 allows automatic route calculation and full voice guidance with turn-by-turn directions (requires City Navigator road map), as well as searching for points of interest such as nearest hotels, restaurants or gas stations, and then calculates the fastest route there.
