Edelrid Salathe Lite

Salathe Lite, the Salathe Lite is almost 20% lighter than its big brother! This weight reduction has been achieved by using Curv material instead of the classic ABS shell. Curv is the latest generation of an extremely high-performance thermoplastic material. It has similar properties to fiber-reinforced composites like carbon: good stiffness, high tensile strength, and exceptionally high impact resistance – all at a very low weight. The chin strap features side-mounted buckles for even more comfort. An ultra-light EPP core (expanded polypropylene) provides excellent shock absorption and high shape stability. A minimalist adjustment system with adjustable straps ensures a secure fit, minimal packing size, and excellent ventilation. There are also two clips at the front and an elastic strap for attaching headlamps.
