Product details

The BIRDLIME 1R is the first synthetic climbing rope made from renewable bio-based raw materials, marking a pioneering achievement by EDELRID in responsible climbing gear. More than 40% of the rope is made from castor oil-based material derived from renewable components. By utilizing this renewable resource, we reduce the consumption of fossil raw materials and demonstrate that the use of polyamide based on renewable resources is also feasible in the production of personal protective equipment. With a diameter of 9.8 mm and the Thermo Shield treatment, the BIRDLIME is a robust all-round rope suitable for versatile use. It is an excellent alternative for those who place a high value on responsible equipment.
